Wood is a natural product and no two timber pieces will be identical. This is part of the pleasure of owning an original piece of furniture. Manufacturers have no control over natural features such as the appearance of knots or wood grain patterns. Stain colours and tones can also vary due to differences in timber and wood preparation. During the aging process lacquers can also yellow or deepen over time.

 

Protection and Cleaning

Finished timber furniture will be protected against common elements and normal handling by a lacquer coating. Irrespective of the quality of the finish, any coating will breakdown with prolong exposure or unusual abuse.

For regular cleaning, dust your furniture with a soft damp cloth. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent bleaching or discolouration. To avoid heat damage use heat resistant place mats under hot/cold food or beverages. Prevent moisture damage by immediately cleaning spillages with a soft, dry-to-slightly-moist damp cloth.
