While our name is new (formerly Classic Timber Furniture), a secret to Kimberly James’ 30 years of successful trading has been the enduring core value of the business’ founders, David and Jill Gronow, which is to “treat people as you would like to be treated”.

We’re Family
Another factor contributing to our longevity has been our belief in family-run businesses. When David and Jill retired some years ago they handed over to us, Kimberly and James. Kimberly creates magic amongst the home wares and accessories range. She also manages the shop floor and it’s her responsibility to make sure you get just the right amount of advice as you browse for your décor needs. James buys furniture and runs the administration.
When you visit our warehouse to pick up furniture or to arrange a delivery you’ll encounter Rob, James’s brother. You may also meet Todd and Davey Fogarty from our third generation. Most of our staff have been with the business for a very long time. We believe everyone should feel welcome and part of the family.
We Make Shopping Easy & Fun
In recent years we responded to popular demand and opened another store at Gepps Cross – giving us two furniture stores in Adelaide. Around that time, we added fresh product styles to complement evolving house designs.
Under our new brand, Kimberly James, our furniture shops have undergone a facelift and have become places where leading Adelaide designers share their secrets with our customers and friends in styling workshops. While we have retained many of the more traditional Australian hardwood Classic Timber Furniture lines, you will now find more contemporary, mid-century and modern designs. We’re also adding fresh, exciting and unique ranges in dining, bedroom, outdoor and lounge furniture.
